March , 2008

Dear Parents:

As we continue our journey through Lent let us pray for each other that we may grow closer to God, our Father, as we strive to ponder the cost of His Love for us, seen in the Passion of Jesus.  May we take this opportunity to rededicate our lives to His Love and service.  (See Mark 12:30-31).  Let us pray for each other as we begin this special time of prayer, fasting, and good deeds.

A simple prayer –

We adore you, O Christ, and we praise you

Because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world

You are the Savior of the world.

Valentine Award

This award was presented to Mr. David Dortch, our volunteer Computer Lab expert. David generously shares his time, talent and finances, as he serves in the Technology Lab every week.

Report cards will be sent home with children in a sealed envelope on March 18.  If you wish to discuss the report with the teacher, conferences will be held on March 19 from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. in the Gym.  Please send a note to the teacher if you are unable to attend.

Sick Leave

I am sorry I will not be here for the report card conferences. I am leaving on March 18, to spend time with my brother, John, who was diagnosed with Leukemia in October, and was diagnosed with cancer of the esophagus in December. He began chemo treatment on January 22 and will have surgery very soon. Please keep him and his family in prayer during this difficult time.  I will return on March 26, God willing.
